I’d say it’s bad, my interpetation is that he’s so mentally clocked out and tired of being the “bad guy” in these Mike/Lucy shenanigans that’s he’s basically just resigned himself to being her security blanket again.

Without words its so hard to understand whats happening and I love it so much.
One path is that he’s just too tired to fight and is willing to play this role with Lucy subbing in for Sandy.
The other is that he might feel comfort in this uncomfortable step in rebuilding burned bridges.

It would of nice if Mike hugged Lucy back out of nothing but concern, but I can understand why he’s not doing so.
At this point, he has just enough empathy to be the literal shoulder she can cry on, but at the same time, he’s too emotionally drained for anything until he gets his bearings.
He also has those bubbles of doom over head so most likely he’s about to or already has passed out.

She successfully aides in isolating him from every friend group, and cries about how he leads people on, but then turns around and despite having every person in the friend group to run to, she goes to mike. If I was mike I would have just kept running because I can’t see how this won’t cause more conflicts. If someone sees them, they will automatically assume he is doing something wrong, which will only make Mike feel more like the bad guy who deserves to disappear.

It seems like he’s going to hug her cause he has a similar look of concern that Lucy did towards Mike when she noticed something was wrong. He also seems to be resting his head on her at the end. To me, he’s conflicted in wanting to comfort her but resigns to doing the most passive but still supportive thing he could do.
