Is it wrong to say I hope someone calls this BS out on how it's too familiar with Tess and her pass?

This isn't just relieving the past, it's reopening old wounds. It's not going to serve anyone but Garner you attention.

Also kinda reinforces a simplified version of events. Jess seems to be lumping everything Roger's clique did onto Tess. Sure, Tess was far from a paragon at the time, but Jess seems to be trying to qualify her hatred by making Tess' actions seem worse than they actually were at the time. (Tess didn't even know about Jessica at this point in the play's retelling, and only stepped in when Jess tried to get Roger in trouble)

Bluntly said, yes it would be wrong. There have been a couple of studies that showed that theater can be used as a effective healing tool for trauma and it's honestly much healthier then the revenge bullying they did to Tess when she was still around. It allows then to reface the events but with a semblence of control which they lacked before. If Tess was still at the school or they actually used the name Tess you would have had a point but as is it's honestly a very healthy coping mechanisme for what happened. Just cause they ended up kinda forgiving Tess doesn't make the trauma magically go away, she still needed healing
