*Katie, now with a bandage over one eye and a bruise on her head, fumes.*

*Katie flails her arms about.*
Katie: This is, like, THE WORST DAY EVER!
*Mike holds out a hand.*
Mike: Oh no, Katie!

*Katie gestures to her skirt.*
Katie: This bandage doesn’t match ANYTHING!
*Mike and Lucy, in the background, nudge each other pettily.*
Mike: Good work out there.
Lucy: I don’t need your praise.

*The poodle teacher clasps her hands together and smiles.*
Poodle teacher: Okay! It’s time now for.. umm.. the carry-each-other-by-the- legs race.

*Lucy grins and puts a hand on Paulo’s chest.*
Lucy: Time to go, Paulo
*Paulo blushes at her touch. Mike, appearing from the side, shouts.*
Mike: HEY!!

*Lucy shrugs.*
Lucy: I saw how well he did last time. I’m not letting you take him again!
*Mike throws his fists in the air.*
Mike: Finders keepers!
*Paulo blushes and sparkles, delighted at Lucy’s praise.*

*Mike crosses his arms.*
Mike: Guess you’ve gotta take every unfair advantage you can, huh?

*Mike gestures at Paulo with a friendly smile.*
Mike: But that’s not gonna work this time! C’mon, Paulo, we always do this one together, right?

Paulo: She has a vagina, she wins by default.
*Lucy smugly smiles at Paulo. Mike, flabbergasted, clenches his fist.*
Mike: …

*Mike frowns and crosses his arms again.*
Mike: Ugh. I’m sure I can do better than Paulo, anyway..

Mike: Now.. who is there..
*Mike looks around.*

*He notices Katie, who is once again watching David.*
Katie: Wow..

David: Okay.. okay.. concentrate!

*David swings a golf club.*
David: FORE!!

*David uses the golf club to smack a football into another random student.*
Student: WAUGHHHH!!

Pug teacher: Football, David! This is FOOTBALL!
David: I kick the BALL with my FOOT into the goal?
Pug teacher: NO!
*Katie watches on in admiration.*
Katie: How does he still look this good?

Mike: …

*Mike approaches Katie.*
Mike: Katie, let’s do this!
*Katie turns to Mike, frustrated.*
Katie: What?!

Author commentary

Veronica: Katie is in the worst physical situation imaginable! This is why she likes to make excuses in order to sit out and do her nails instead.

It’s funny how Katie is complaining and Mike/Lucy decide to completely ignore her and go back to arguing amongst themselves. True friends right there.
