Veronica: This sequence always makes me cry, especially because Paulo had all this in the back of his head all along. He’s just not the kind of person to talk about it!! At all! Even to his closest friends!

Imagine just bottling this up for years, and not feeling confident in yourself enough to share it with anyone. Instead Paulo just acts like everything’s cool and makes petty dead-mom jokes. Always forgiving, always trying not to “incite drama”, always hurting.

Even now Abbey trying to reach out makes him recoil.

Well this entire chapter took a turn. Hopefully we get some actual conversation between these two now. They don't need to be friends but removing some of the hatred and distrust would be nice.
