Don't get me wrong, Mike was an extremely shitty friend to Lucy but you can't deny he's a great friend to Paulo. He's always the first one to lend him a genuine helping hand despite the fact that David is supposedly his best friend. But yeah, feel awful for Paulo, a teenager finding out that he was basically "replaced" for another sibling is most certainly going to cause long-lasting emotional scars.

Paulo has spent a good part of the year trying to be more attentive and less reactive towards Mike, reaching out to him when he KNOWS something's up, and being stern when necessary. It's really nice to see Mike being there for him in return.
