Oh my god theyre communicating?? In a healthy and mature way now?? Im so happy Daisy also realized pretty quickly from her face alone how unjustified and shitty her yelling demands was towards someone like Paulo who just honestly doesn’t want to ruin things. Im so proud of Paulo, hes come so far and is being so vulnerable and god. I love these two. I really hope this instills some more emotional maturity in Daisy and allows her to fully grow and flourish as well. They both deserve it 🥹

feel like there’s a middle ground here. like Paulo’s comparing to two girls he banged on the first date, one that he thought was gonna lead into something big on the first proper date, and the whole Lucy mess. Daisy does need to be more chill about it, but ultimately she just wanted a kiss
the answer continues to be “just ask for it instead of starting a yelling match the second things go off-course” lol

I get being frustrated, but poor Paulo just wants to take it at a more comfortable pace. I think Daisy does too, but she also craves the affirmation that Paulo is attracted to her. Poor high schoolers haha

I think another thing is by Daisy’s standards, making out today would be slow. her track record is tricking Mike into going on a date with her and non-consensually making out with him as a last-ditch attempt to win him over, and berating Abbey into making out with her when she didn’t like his confession. Paulo and Daisy have been dating for about a couple of weeks now and the most they’ve been doing is getting a bit handsy, she must be wondering how long it takes to get to the next step. she initially accepted the idea to keep it slow for a while, but didn’t know what that actually meant
and Paulo’s been implying through things he’s said both now and shortly after they got together that he is okay with taking that next step, but he’s also been missing Daisy’s cues. a bit of communication here is probably getting muddled because the two jumped right to comparing to girls he’s at the very least tried to have sex with!

Good job, Paulo! You’ve grown up a lot, and you’ve realized that physical intimacy doesn’t have to be the most important part of a relationship.
Daisy, unfortunately, has rarely gotten that kind of attention at all, so she can’t grasp why someone wouldn’t want it. I’m glad it looks like she’s listening to Paulo ♥️

I like how this moment of communication plays to both of their strengths: Paulo’s emotional maturity in understanding that he wants to take his time and cherish his new relationship with Daisy, but also understanding where she’s coming from, and Daisy’s emotional intelligence in that her frustration seems to fade away to concern when Paulo starts opening up about his past experiences.
They’re not perfect by any means, but they show more balance as a couple than a lot of the ones up to this point.

well, they never really dated or anything. they mostly just flirted a lot, and the point where it started to look like it was going to get serious is when it fell apart. I can see not considering anything before the prom as a relationship as that’s when it was supposed to properly start
but also he’s counting Rach and that lasted the entirety of Lucy’s disappearance so I think he’s more thinking about how it started than how long it lasted
