In defense of Elmanii, you didn’t specify in the slightest that you were referring to Confrontation. Anybody would reasonably deduce that you were referring to the previous page where Paulo wasn’t shit-talking her in the slightest and Daisy made one vague catty comment but not really to the extend of slandering her.

@steven M. I mean it still isn’t the truth and it’s not unbiased or without taking a side. That statement is just simply wrong. Daisy only sides with Lucy when she’s been slighted by Mike and from what we have seen as the reader Lucy has made NO promises to Daisy. There is no truth to daisys words and she isn’t coming from a neutral point of view.

The arm angle toward the body is aiming too high to be Lucy (or even Jasmine). And surely Augustus has no reason to approach them.

Looking at the comment section, I’ve forgotten just how many people in this comic have white hands. My mind immediately went to Lucy or Augustus (I brought up Jordan as a joke, I also forgot that Augustus has black hands, my memory on what the colours of each characters hands are is sloppy!) but I totally forgot about Abbey, Jasmine and Sandy (somebody literally just brought up Rachel, holy shit I apparently forgot about 75% of the cast!). Abbey seems to be the most plausible candidate but either way, that still spells trouble for Paulo and Daisy…

If that is Abbey, now is the time to tell the truth, no matter how it turns out. Because at this point, they’re only trying to keep their relationship a secret from him, and the fact that everyone else Daisy told had already figured it out suggests Abbey might know by now or was going to find out sooner or later.

My mostly baseless guess is that it’s Abbey’s arm because of the art style. His fingers have a pale brown tone to the inner lineart and a darker outer lineart. At the start of the chapter, Abbey’s hands have the same pale brownish tone on the inner lineart. Lucy’s usually got either a fully solid dark outline, or the inner paler lines have a pinkish tone. Jordan’s arms are too twiggy for the curve in the last panel, I think. Rachel often has sleeves that pass her elbows, but it could be her. I think Jasmine’s more blue-coded than brown, but Abbey DID mention the environmental club earlier. Do I genuinely think this has much merit? No, but it’s fun to Pepe Silvia over unimportant things.

I knew I was forgetting somebody! Definitely could be her, it would make a lot of sense. The arm feels a bit high up though, like I’d expect it to go more straight down instead of curving for someone of her height, but I could be completely wrong. I’m not entirely sure how tall she is compared to Paulo anyways, but she is 12, so she isn’t too tiny.

You have to factor in Daisy’s response when trying to guess whose arm it is. Daisy can see the person and she’s extremely startled. I’d have to guess not because of the sudden presence, but because she can see who the sudden presence is. It rules out most of the cast.
Even if it is Abbey, though, they haven’t been alluding to their relationship since they left the hallway, so I don’t think any of what he could have heard outside from them could be all that bad. On the surface, it’s them talking about Mike and Lucy, and Paulo sarcastically poking fun at what Daisy said in the hallway. I have to imagine all of the main cast, Abbey included, are used to Paulo’s sarcastic and teasing nature to know he’s not being intentionally cruel.
Does Paulo drive to school yet? I remember my high school limited diving to Juniors and Seniors, but I also went to an insanely populated school, so I don’t know how common that restriction is.
People saying Molly have to remember she’s still young and short, she’d have to reach up high to touch Paulo’s tall shoulder.
