At this point, a lot of the main characters have kissed each other. So if Paulo seriously gets friendship-ending angry at Mike over one kiss that Daisy initiated way before they came clean about their feelings for each other. Then that would be beyond petty.

I imagine he will be angry with Mike over it, but at the same time this was before they even got together. Plus Mike helped him through a heard time so maybe could some degree cushion the blow

Like I won’t forget this and hold you accountable, but I still care about you and we can discuss this later kind of energy

I’m more worried about how Abby will react after learning Daisy and Paulo are a couple and he’s been keeping it a secret while they’ve been getting closer.

Especially after Abby’s previous suspicions about Daisy & Paulo’s relationship while they were still dating.

Compared to how Paulo might react after learning that Daisy kissed Mike once before they ever became a couple.

she’s talking about Mike, so “got cheated on” is Sandy. the incident with Daisy was him doing the cheating

I see, I’m still a little confused if her implication to that is the reason why Mike is feeling so much guilt right now? Since atm nobody else knows what happened outside during recess so it’s just speculation on what’s been eating at Mike on top of how he feels for what he said to Lucy.

It’s not about the guilt. Daisy was responding to Paulo, saying, Something else must have happened outside of the past stuff that resulted in Mike and Lucy’s fallout. None of their friend group knows what happened at recess, so they wouldn’t even bother questioning it. Since they can’t say anything happened there if no one actually talked about it.

The only thing that has happened recently that Daisy actually knows of is the fact that Sandy cheated on Mike. Something he never actually told Paulo about.

@elmanii, hmm that makes sense. Nobody else has knowledge outside the events of last chapter besides Augustus/lucy/james/david and mike. So her bringing up about what happened between mike and sandy is probably the only thing she could of thought of

once Daisy figured out that Sandy had cheated, Mike immediately starts going on about how it’s all his fault, he was treating Lucy the same way as Sandy was treating Francis the entire time anyway. so yeah it’s fair for her to look at that as whatever’s going on between Mike and Lucy getting weirder even without knowing what actually happened

I thought it was confirmed in eternal flames chapter.

I remember her saying something like “I think I like someone else” but I can’t recall if it was confirmed she had actually done anything with Francis. I guess I’m not sure what she should have done differently other than be up front about it and end a relationship she no longer wished to be in.

In chapter 115, track meet, it’s very heavily implied (borderline explicitly stated) that “things” happened between them.

Page 22 referring to her mother sandy says “… She woulda killed us if she knew what he and I were up to, haha!” Which with the confirmation on tumblr that Francis is an adult is an understandable reaction (towards Francis) from her mother.

Two pages later sandy also says to Mike, referring to her cheating, “But.. honestly? I’d be way madder at me if I was you!”

So I think it’s incredibly likely borderline confirmed that more happened than sandy let on in eternal flame.

Being with someone and showing Interest of any kind is, in fact, cheating. Especially if both parties admit feelings to one another, even if there’s no intent to go farther than that. Even if they didn’t get intement, there was a desire to be.

He’s probably so fucking vindicated because he kept nailing Sandy as the cause of Mike’s bad attitude, and here he is with confirmation that she cheated on Mike, being every bit as bad for Mike as he knew she was the whole time.

I’m sure he’s going to find a way to finally get Mike to drop her for good and try to get him back on the right track
