It was probably discussed before but I feel like she wasn’t really in love with Auggy, more like she saw an emotional escape in him from Alejandro’s abuse. And I think Augustus knew that. But even as a friend, she never really…. went back for Auggy? To get help from adults to try to somehow help him to get out? ;>>

In no way I’m trying to criticize or blame her, the girl went through a lot. It would just be a kind of an awkward moment for them. I think.

God I think the arc of lucy’s family taking augustus in like this might be one of my favorite character arcs of the story so far, there’s something so… Sweet and earnest about it that hits me in my soul.
