The next chapter being a Lucy chapter? I rather doubt it, given that Lucy is to be out of the spotlight for a while. However, depending on the length, the next chapter could very well finish off Volume 4. Also I would say that enough time has passed by this point that Lucy is no longer in the hospital, and has moved to wherever she was going.

Seems my personal guess for this page was close, but not right on the mark, since it was actually Abbey rather than Daisy who donated the condoms to Paulo. I’m glad that in the end Daisy recognized that she wasn’t ready for sex yet. That kind of self-assessment is still a mark of progressive maturity, despite the childish way in which she acted during certain points in this chapter. Oh well, full maturity takes time, and Daisy certainly has a ways to go to develop emotionally. At least Abbey was fine with whatever decision Daisy made.

I agree that Rachel seems to be seeing rather a lot of Paulo lately. Is it just her natural fondness for cat dicks (i.e. a sexual fling with no deeper attachment) or is there actually something developing between them, despite Rachel not wanting to marry a cat? “Friends with benefits” seems to be the most accurate term to describe this relationship right now.

I’ve never been so proud of a fictional character. It took those last minute jitters for Daisy to admit that she isn’t ready, but she finally humbled herself enough to say so. And Abbey was totally fine with it.

I don’t think either of them were acting “bratty,” nor do I think this was a waste of time. BCB is about teenage cats(and dogs) with teenage drama and teenage issues; this includes MORE than Lucy and her insecurities. While I love Lucy, I’m happy to see other characters in the spotlight. What I’m getting at is that there’s more than the “main storyline,” ie. the Mike/Lucy/Sandy love triangle. I’m happy to have a lighthearted break from the heartbreaking drama- just relax and enjoy the ride!

Are the people complaining about Lucy really thinking such things as “everyone is happy so that means they never cared/moved on too quick” and “has it been a week she’s been gone?”?

2. That same page even shows that they are not happy but they are still trying to move on. You don’t spend every waking moment of your life moping and crying, they did plenty of moping and crying in the chapter when she disappeared and Daisy even made a study party that showed everyone still moping. Do some of you just overlook all that?
