Lucy was getting close to a full emotional breakdown there. Some are saying she was dumb to stop it. I say there were deep emotional reasons.

Does anyone else notice how Mike’s mom looks almost angry or upset with him? And on another note, I actually think that although it does mess her up in the future, Lucy made a smart move here in rejecting ol’Mike. 12 is way to young to be fooling around like that regardless. You don’t even really know what you want, let alone what love is (kinda) till youre older anyways.
