Not only is Sandy's comment completely ridiculous and tactless, I can just feel the buried guilt dripping through. "Maybe if I'm punished and hurt, I can be redeemed?" I have a hard time believing she isn't struggling just as much as Mike to pretend things are okay.

Of course you’re not wrong, there isn’t a wrong way to interpret something! I personally am annoyed at what Sandy said as it is insensitive, however Sandy’s character is very naive and oblivious, so I doubt it had any malice behind it

Ew sandy, that aint it. It makes me wonder if she actually has feelings for him or if she is trying to force something that isn’t there. Almost like she is only staying with mike and trying so hard to make this relationship work because she feels guilty and is trying to convince herself she still loves him. But at the same time i think mike is doing exactly the same thing…you cant just pretend everything is normal like nothing ever happened 😞
