Her hip injury after her attempy remaining a constant in her life is painful and realistic. And something that can get way worse if she keeps pushing herself. It’s really easy to fall into the mindset of “I can do this easy” and then get slapped in the face with reality. It’s also like a physical reminder of how her life has changed in such drastic and twisted ways compared to her friends who seem to gradually move on and up compared to her. Lucy really is just clawing at remnants of what was while being reminded of what isn’t.
