Veronica: I cannot tell you how much I struggled with this particular scene as someone who finds throwing away perfectly fine food that anyone coulda eaten abominable. I didn’t want Mike to do it! Even though I knew in my heart he would! Even though it makes perfect sense! He’s been throwing away a lot of uneaten food… drives me crazy, in fact.

I got over writing cheating plots. I’ve gotten characters to say “boob." Character development on my end, you could say.

Anyway my original plan was for Mike to just wholesale throw away the lunch with a sick sad smile on his face, not even taking one bite.. but Souppy suggested he take a bite.. because in a way he’s trying to obey. Can’t fully shake off the “golden boy” allegations.. trying to obey his mother, but he stops himself after a bite, and throws it away. I thought that was a cool interpretation.

As a person who’s always eaten the lunch people have made for me even if it’s something I don’t like, because of the love and time they put into it, this page was very sad for me to read. Ouch
