I don’t think Mike was the one who “ruined” her life but the point that Sue makes about Lucy always running back to Mike despite “not wanting” to be around him is spot on.

I think she’s just so upset and angry that she doesn’t care in the heat of the moment. She’s telling and calling Lucy out and going full nuclear about it.
I’m sure she likely knows it’s not true, but sometimes being so fed up and angry throws you into a blind rage moment.

No but actually Sue’s the perfect person to weigh in on these issues. She’s known everyone for the same amount of time, and has been friends with and (probably) crushed on both Mike and Lucy but NOT to the same extent as Daisy and Paulo, so she isn’t as biased as they can be

Dude, Lucy needed a wake up call, and even if this is harsh, at least it’s honest and coming from one of the few characters who genuinely wants all of their friends to be happy, no matter how the group changes.
Sue has rarely taken sides against anyone but Paulo, and she’s always been empathetic and understanding when it counts. When she sees her friend suffering, she tries to find out how to make it right, and that often bites her because she has emotionally constipated/insecure friends 🤣
She took a step back from Mike after he lashed out at her, and I have a feeling the same thing might happen here. Sue has really matured since middle school, and she seems to know her own worth more than most of her friends (maybe trying to be popular for Stacy was the last gasp of trying to be accepted by everyone; now she has a broken foot to remind her)
