Paulo is surprised, relieved, and curious all at the same time(just like the rest of us
). I am glad that Jasmine is not crying right now, but now i’m wondering how Paulo will react 
. I think this is the first time anyone ever said that to him so he has no other way to react to it(aside from being surprised). In any case Paulo is most likely going to wonder “why?” until he asks her. Also I understand why Jasmine has this emoticon 
. It makes total sense now she is the master of surprises.

First off, I’d like to say: good for both of them. Jazz needs a guy who will constantly support her, even with her over-booked activities calender - a boyfriend who will take the back seat to her after-school activities, if you will.
Paulo needs to have a girl who loves to be with him/in an activity with him. Plus, with all of his tensions, he kind of needs some time without a relationship right now, because re-examining your life takes some time, an that is EXACTLY what he needs to do right now, and sort things out.
