I think I understand why they both handled the break up so easily: Paulo and Jasmine acted more like very close friends when they were together so it really didn’t matter to either of them if they stopped being a couple. I still don’t remember a moment where they actually kiss… they just hug, lots and lots of lovely hugs
. They didn’t have much time together and most of that time was spent as friends… that give each other awkward hugs.

Also, there is the obvious answer: Paulo doesn’t do awkward and Jasmine is awesome

Way to break the ice, Jazz. You’re a true hero.
I’m glad this ended well. It’s nice and necessary for mediums of story-telling to have conflict, but when the conflict just intensifies or stalls itself without any sort of conclusion, it can become extremely tiresome…like being dragged by your heels through a desert.
It’s nice to see this positive result, when many mediums of story-telling, especially TV series, inflict a ton of negativity and drama upon life. Unlike them, not everyone is going through life with a grudge, a secret desire, or feeling like the world is falling down on them.
There are positive things in life; unfortunately, the norm seems to be to hunt down and saturate oneself in the more negative aspects.

They’re cute. Honestly, cute. But I don’t really see this break up as that oh, they’re really perfect for each other or anything. They’re good friends, and their relationship was always kinda built on friendship than making out.
I’m glad to see their friendship is so strong, and they’re really compatible friendship wise. But of course if they stayed together I wouldn’t have had any complaints either.
