This is a somewhat happy ending for Paulo and Jasmine. Paulo is free to go after the girl he loves and Jasmine gets to go home knowing she finally had the courage to go up to Paulo and kiss him. Also, we get to see Jasmine again in the future .

And then we realized Paulo is secretly the main character of BSCB. The best written, most conflicted of all our angsty friends.

I like how Jazz is a shade of gray in the third panel while everything else still has color, kind of like a “fading memory” thing. At least they’re still keeping things friendly between them, at least on the outside.
Paulo is obviously not lingering on thoughts about Jazz and has his sights set on Lucy. I’m really curious to see what he’s going to do and how he’s going to do it. I’m also curious to see how Lucy will react.
I find it funny that although Mike has essentially shoved aside Lucy and displays no shame in drooling over Sandy (he kissed a cell phone picture of her, for God’s sake), he seems to become instinctively jealous whenever Lucy and Paulo get together. “She’s being a whore”, yeah right Mike, get over yourself. You had your shot and you got your “trophy wife” heading your way, so step down and let someone who cares like Paulo have a shot.
As for Augustus, he’s more of a mentor to Lucy than a lover. It’s hard to tell, but I’m sure he worries about her a little enough to prevent her from jumping off a building, but not enough to ask her out. Augustus is, let’s be honest here, a straight-up loner; more-so than Lucy, whose more of a tusundere if anything else.
In addition, Jess is still secretly hounding after Lucy herself. I wonder if that’s just going to keep being a “running joke” or if it’s actually going to develop into something or emerge with more strength in the story.
