Wow, two ships sunked in Lucy’s house !

Look at Lucy getting protective over Daisy even though she also kind of feels bad that Augustus can’t be happy with Daisy at the same time now that she understands him better.

well that family is intimidating and adorable

Now, this page really encapsulates everything I really love about the dynamic between these two: They acknowledge each other’s flaws in very real, very specific, active ways, but choose to help each other work through them rather than bottle things up or blow them our of proportion. Lucy KNOWS that Augustus’ treatment of Daisy was not OK at all, and she’s not about to let it just slide, but it’s also not stopping her from helping her friend like this. She’s addressing him as a whole person—not putting him on a pedestal or decrying him as a monster—and choosing to stick around. And that’s exactly what both of them really need.
