Am I the only one who has the weird feeling she’s about to kiss him? She does have something of a history of extending romantic attention as an act of self-harm with Paulo, but I don’t know if she’d go there with Augustus even when she’s in a very bad place.

Hmmm...extremely ominous. Yikes!!! I agree with the other commenters that she's either about to get mad at him or maybe make a move.

I actually really like Augustus/Lucy but this is NOT the time lol!!! But, if she were to make a move, I think I trust that Augustus would shut it down. I would like to imagine he specifically has tried to learn a lot about consent and boundaries after his horrible actions earlier in the story, and would know not to entertain advances from someone in serious emotional distress.

I'm... scared. For her.

I think she's gonna have a cry session not a kiss auggie session. Hope that turns out to be the case.

With August she is safe to do so. As others have said in the comments I could see her making a move or misplaced anger...

I also can see her just frozen to the spot numb to it all and only snaps out of it when August says her name or touches her gently.

Augustus has seen her at an emotionally unstable where everything came through unfiltered and raw. This might be her only safe place to actually emote and let it go. This can go three ways but I think this chapter is here to show us that while old feelings may remain people do change and it shows on how they attempt to deal with the same hurdles.

I keep thinking about the fact that Augustus lives in a whole other house and his parents ain’t look for him once. Jeeze

Maybe she’s going to ask him how he has learned to stay away from Daisy despite his feelings towards her.

reading over the chapter again, im thinking this is maybe when he found out about what happened last night when she came home. it seems weird him being nonchalant if he had previously already known she was upset/hurt.

Im going to throw this out randomly, but what if she was under the bleachers(idk why she would be but I’ve gone under school bleachers to relax randomly in high school so meh) or someone else heard and told her so she is confronting him about it, idk how it’d go if that’s the case but is still a possibility

What chapter or section was the spot that explains what happened between Augustus and Daisy? I have been reading since the beginning, but I has been so long I kind of need to recap on the page 😅 I'm not sure where I was in the comics, it's been so long ago. I know basically what happened but I need to recap so I get the full idea! Anyone know the chapter/page? (Someone brought up Daisy since Augustus is currently featured in this page and I just got to thinking and I just can't seen to remember correctly how it all went 😖

Chapter 39, “Love My Way”. Page 16 is where Augustus starts making moves on Daisy against her will immediately after Mike (rightfully) rejects her.

All of Augustus’ appearances earlier were very much ungood though. The events there are after at least 2 months worth of him essentially grooming her. He’s very creepy back then.

The Webtoon is actually going to be reaching a lot of the problematic scenes with the old Augustus VERY soon. It's been a really good way to recap on the old chapters of BCB with updated visuals and a few retcons to make the story more cohesive. I'd definitely recommend checking it out:
