BCB was the winner of the Comicmix March Madness oh my god

I seriously did not see this coming. I was honestly super flattered being in the original list of 300 in the first place, like “Wow, my comic has been noticed by someone and I’m not a big dumb nobody”, but I totally did not expect to last this long, let alone win! Seriously, I don’t know how to feel about this. I honestly just expected to get my ass kicked by homestuck like four rounds ago hahahaha

SERIOUSLY EVERY ROUND I WAS LIKE

“I JUST WANTED TO LOSE TO HOMESTUCK ;__;”

The large amount of support, especially from people who I did not expect, is really appreciated ;__; thank you so much everyone, I hope I can make it up to you guys somehow. I’ll keep trying my best with every page, and I hope despite the rocky road ahead (plot-wise) you guys will stick around

There was a surprise we were planning to do sometime in the future, like middle or end of the year, but as something in return to the many hundreds of you who kept on voting I’m gonna try very very hard to get it all ready by the first page of the next chapter. I hope the wait is worth it!

I am humbled and flabbergasted and confused and a bit seasick (having been on a boat for the past two days) and yeah, you guys should really check out all the comics in the contest! The real value (besides the huge charity donation it generated among all the comics) is in introducing new readers to comics they haven’t heard of before, and if you have any free time, you should check some of them out! There was a good mix this year.

No. Lucy is dead inside? Well that explains her recent actions and it sounds better than turning off her emotions completely… oh wait.

With the play: So Lucy’s curse is going to be the end of everyone in the village or just the fool that tried to do away with her? Well now it is time for Mike to talk some sense into her and get her to see that hurting everyone else around her won’t take away the pain she holds inside. Wow, I knew this play was going to be good but this is better than what I was expecting.

Kinda hoping the rest of this chapter just plays out as… the play! Kinda just interested to see what Sue created. Of course, if it doesn’t that will be fine as well. Just a part of me gets this ‘Embarrassed’ feeling watching people(s) make asses and fools of themselves. Let alone on a grand stage such as this.
But since this is BCB, I’ll swallow that silly little feeling and read on!

Congratulations on victory as well! It’s a well deserved one at that Taeshi. I simply ask you to not stress yourself out over having to ‘reward’ us. The comic itself is plenty
So as a fan, I say thank you for sharing BCB with us!

The plot to this play is really seeming to relate back to the personaity of both Mike and Lucy as a whole. Lucy, now dead inside, and Mike, always quick to step up to be the humble hero.

On another note, I am so glad that BCB won in the contest. Congratulations!!! I really love both this comic and Homestuck so woah, happy for both for being in it and extremely happy that you won.
