4th panel Paulo is super cute! I can only imagine how it must be. To confess a love that has been there in a long time must be wanted to be perfect.
There seems to be a bit of concern mixed into the tired and unhappy eyes of Lucy’s. I just hope that she, at least, will take this seriously and listen. She must have a lot of trust issues but Paulo has been there for her a lot.
Oh, I’m really curious as to what will happen!

No, I think Lucy does know where Paulo is going and she’s wondering if he’s going to follow through on it. “I just wanted to see you again” isn’t something Lucy is used to hearing, especially after Mike turned her down pretty hard-core style. She’s used to getting turned away, being the odd person out (tom-boy), and has grown a nice reactive turtle shell because of it (no more Miss nice kitty).
I bet she’s hoping against all odds that he does say, “Lucy, I think I love you” or at least “I like you”. All her life, the only thing she wants to hear the most is “I like you”, “I need you”, “I appreciate you”, or “I love you” and who doesn’t want to hear that?
Come on Paulo, she’s dying and you know it. You love her and you know it, so just say it and get on with it. It’s time to start a new chapter in Lucy’s life, one that doesn’t involve being alone, angry, and defensive all the time.

Yeah, this is gonna be sweet and all but I can’t imagine that Lucy is feeling up to this right now. She’s clearly still exhausted and may not receive his feelings as warmly as intended…
What she needs now I think is to see her friends still lover her, rather than another love interest >.< Well, whatever happens happens
