I’m honestly curious if he can actually follow through with it. Will his nerves get the best of him? And if and when he finally does come out with it, lets her know how he feels… will rejection be the outcome, or will we have some sweet to the bitterness in this mix and match candy bowl…

Lucy looks pretty cute on this page. Her face seems very soft and her eyes more gentle than they usually are. Her brows aren’t furrowed or unamused either. She just seems more open than usual. I also like how her ears are folded back the way they are. There still is that lingering…anguish I shall call it in the blue of her eyes.
I wonder what role she’s going to play that requires the use of a…monk robe? No, looks more like a “traveler” robe. Wait, it’s a cloak, but that’s like a robe. Anyways.
Careful with your approach, Paulo—you’re stepping into a field full of land mines. Less on the “Alpha Male” approach, but don’t coat yourself with too much sugar that you come off as a pansy. The best thing you can do now is to let her know you’re there for her and you should probably encourage her on her upcoming performance. Don’t hit on her looks too much—it might appear desperate or lewd to someone like Lucy.
If you want to lay on the honey, do it after the play, but not on the eve of Lucy’s performance. Oh, and always be mindful of the “white elephant”. Tons of those in this comic.

I love how taeshih has done Lucy’s reflection in the first panel!
I hope this goes well - I’m sick of seeing Lucy either angry or sad - I hope she’s actually kind to him when he tells her - even if she doesn’t want a relationship with him I hope she’ll be nice about it.
