Good on Mike for acknowledging Lucy right away — not running away, lying or changing the subject. I wonder if Mike’s guilt is going to make him spill everything right here or if Lucy (or something/someone else) stops him before he can.

consider how Lucy behaves when anyone treats her differently because of her trauma. of course she doesn’t want anyone to know. and even if Mike’s the one to say it, it’s blatantly obvious who pressured him into it. this is an absurd breach of trust on Augustus’ part. for fuck’s sake dude, she wanted to help you escape your past, not hire a bodyguard

Augustus is genuinely sick of Mike and probably tired of seeing Lucy tweak whenever he shows up. I’m really curious how this unfolds. The draaaaaaamaaaa

As much as I want Mike to take accountability and give a much more heartfelt apology to Lucy, she CLEARLY doesnt appreciate what Gus is trying to do right now. Lucy just wants to be left alone and not get dragged into drama, man

If Mike is forced to repeat the things he said to Lucy, I really hope James also asks the question of why.

Look, I don’t hate Mike completely- I am mad at his character for how he treated Lucy. Again, Lucy tried to apologise when she saw what she was doing to Mike but he shut it down and that’s when he tore her down and apart. I understand if someone hurt you but if they are trying to apologize and take responsibility for their actions- that’s what’s important. You don’t have to forgive that person but they at least saw their ways and wanted to change that. Mike was a jerk for tearing into her like he did when she was trying to fix the situation at hand. Yes she messed up, but Mike and Lucy show us how human we all are (metaphorically speaking since they are cats lol) but I’m so ready for Mike to finally own up to his crap. Lucy deserves an apology. A real and honest one. Is auggie doing it right? Probably not but it’s bringing all of it to a head and I’m hoping Mike finally spills it all out right here for both his and Lucy’s sake. They both need the closure and Lucy needs that true apology.

While I feel like this is a situation that will never be healed by ignoring it, I somehow doubt that reopening old wounds on the track field with mixed company will provide the healing that anyone needs.

I get the feeling that the “line in the sand” title is meant to be for Augustus. Even though it sounds like a word play on Sandys’ name.

Man, I’m so excited. There are so many very obvious issues with what is happening here—but how else was this going to go down?? Mike and Lucy have been tiptoeing around this garbage for *so long*. I’m really curious about what this is going to unearth, if anything?
