This chapter def makes me feel a lot of things, and maybe made me rethink my past and my experienced a bit.

Just feels like, I hope it doesn’t end just like this cause again, it felt like how this was handled feels so wrong, even if it finally get Mike to finally see from what Lucy went through and experience

Uh he was the victim. That whole situation was caused by Augustus.

I don’t know how long you’ve been reading or if remember that he caused that himself by stringing Lucy along with his backass feelings.. breaking up with Sandy and then immediately playing the “victim card” on Lucy and her feelings towards him, making her feel bad for him, picking him back up and making him feel good about himself again just to immediately go back to Sandy and shatter Lucy all together. I know these fictional characters aren’t perfect. None of them are but honestly, Mike has the most to work on right now. Lucy is making it past the stuff she’s been called out on for. Augustus is just trying to graduate and have a happy healthy life for once, even if he is an instigator. Atleast he genuinely cares about Lucy.

(Also this is just my personal opinion and views on it. Don’t get bent outta shape over them. I just like these silly cats and am rooting very hard for Lucy) (:

I remember that she was abusive. Seems you refuse to. Seems a lot of the cast does too. And if you truly mean no offense, then I fail to see why you tell me to chill.

I mean she is ACTIVELY changing and getting better and Mike is not.

Yes, Lucy was abusive, but there are scenes within the comic where Mike instigates her reactions and laughs about it like it wasn’t a big deal. Even when Daisy confronted him about it with worry for Mike, he shrugged it off and said that she and the others just don’t understand Lucy, and there is more to her than the violence.

It wasn’t until Sandy cried about it that he started having a big problem with it, and took it way too far. It was aparent that he just needed to get mad at her one time for her to try and stop, which she did, but he was dead set on cutting her from his life all together. Not over the abuse either, which made it worse, but rather because he still harbored feelings for Lucy and seen her as a distraction.

Mike’s problem is, he acts cool about how the others treat him rather than be forthcoming and honest about it, and bottles it all up until he literally blows up on them. Sometimes being pretty violent himself, like when he slammed Paulo’s face into the lunch table, and when he tried to force Augustus to be quiet because he didn’t want James to hate him.

I don’t agree with how Augustus went about it, but he was giving Mike a chance to properly explain himself, but Mike knew he didn’t have a good excuse for any of his actions. Because deep down he knew that he really did want James to still fawn over him despite never giving James a chance, all because he doesn’t want to face the internal truth he knows that he’s no longer even happy with Sandy, and the long distance is too much.

Lucy should have stopped herself, but sometimes people just need to be held accountable for their actions, and if he would have done so in a healthy way, he could have helped her change rather than ultimately telling her to go kill herself.

If I’m being honest, as happy as he would be seeing Lucy, I feel like seeing both of them there, with James, and above all August there should be a sign something is definitely up

they did, but Sue and especially Paulo just weren’t able to get through to her as well as David did. part of it is that Lucy does still have unaddressed trauma that’s related to the friends that weren’t able to protect her from Alejandro, and part of it is that none of them were willing to go as hard on Mike and completely tear down the ideas from the December speech that she had internalised. David wasn’t involved in the Alej encounter and isn’t willing to pull his punches when it comes to Mike

As much as they had ups and downs, Paulo is shown to be perceptive and to stick up for others when needed. And while he was willing to drop Mike for her, I’m not sure if he will since it look like their relationship was improving, as well as if he’s going to take It well on what August pulled.
