I recently reread BCB and I didn’t realize Mike was passed out and then buzzed when Lucy was initially getting attacked. I wonder if he ever realized or understood how bad it was

the transition of this scene is marvelous! the heartfelt dialogue of what Sandy said to Mike to get him back in Eternal Flame is now applying to how Mike feels about Lucy, who is being plagued by a nightmare. Kudos!
