Curtain Call — Page 18

Author commentary

Veronica: There were different ways this was gonna go, like Lucy was either going to continue being a dumb mopey-face and Sue was meant to know what was going on, or sue was not gonna know what was going on but was gonna be supportive. EITHER WAY NONE OF THAT HAPPENED

Just don’t break Mikes leg. :)
Nice to finally see a smile from Lucy!! And a deceptively true one too! Who knows, maybe she really does feel like Sue is a good friend. And she wasn’t completely droning when she ‘made out’ with Paulo. That or she really has a knack for this acting thing.
Lovely page to enter the weekend with though.

Lucy may be smiling, but how genuine is it really? The eyes don’t lie.

Perhaps, whatever scene Mike and Lucy were working on was kind of a break through for them. Or maybe they are just putting on their grown up faces for the sake of the play (and Sue).

I don’t trust that smile for a second. She didn’t smile with Paulo, she didn’t smile with Mike. She smiled at Sue, while giving her a compliment of her script. I smell a façade being put up.
