Lucy’s growth and maturity astounds me. I love her SO MUCH. It’s amazing that she’s not depending on Mike at all and knows exactly how to respond to his toxic fight picking attitude. She wasn’t perfect, still isn’t, but she’s growing and i love it

Agreed! It’s funny, I actually posted a similar commend about Paulo on an earlier page. It’s like everyone around Mike is maturing and growing up while Mike himself is still stuck in the past. Which makes the most recent pages released over on the Webtoons all the more poetic, as this is something Lily tried to teach Mike YEARS ago when this same thing was happening with Sandy’s letters.

I love this page, I just wonder about Mike’s reaction to her saying that in the last couple panels. Is it just because the bell rung? Is it because she’s already beaten him to his inevitable retort at some point? Because she’s effectively pointing out that he so far hasn’t respected or appreciated -any- of his friends’ outside observations on the situation and his behaviour over the last year? This one is keeping me hooked page-by-page, for sure.

This right here. Lucy telling him straight nothing ANY of them has to say matters to him, so why should they? I think and hope that realization is what’s hitting him.

I admire the heck out of Lucy’s calm, pointed attitude. I wish I could be as collected and aloof as she can be in these situations, although she did go through hell and back to be able to deal with all of this
