He *thinks* he needs space… but he really needs someone he can talk to right now that wouldn’t be upset with him either… but you can see in Haley’s face that yeah, she knows better. Even she appears more grown up on some matters than Mike is :P

I hope he doesn’t run into Lucy just yet while he’s getting some space. Right now the only headspace he’s in is yelling at everyone around him. If he sees her right now he might take his hurt out on her which would shatter any possible chance at mending the damage he’s already done.

It’s great seeing this side of her, for sure! Haley looks tired though, it’s hard watching your siblings going through some devastating, but unknown (to you) issue. The parallels to what we just saw in the intermission prior to this chapter, are real. If this is how Haley’s coping, I wonder how their mom’s taking it, and if the family will step in?

Remember when Lucy was spiraling and Mike dealt the final blow that killed her inside?

That led her on a toxic path?

It’s going to feel SO GOOD when he runs into her and she refuses to give him an excuse.

Because she’s better than that.

She won’t call him a parasite.

But she won’t hug him and make his pain go away either.

He has to understand what he’s done to the people around him.

And death is not going to be his escape.

Anthony, he’s NOT going to her.

He’s going to run INTO her.

Before he even gets a chance to decide what he’s going to do.

And then he’s going to think she’s going to tell him what he told her last December.

But she won’t.

Lucy is better than that now.

She won’t give him an excuse to do what she did.

I’m thinking she’s going to give him a reason not to do that.

That’s my theory of what’s about to happen.
