Not at all. She has distanced herself from him pretty consistently since being back.

She still cares about him because they've been friends since like pre-school and he consistently went to her when he was feeling down. But she isn't forcing him to be in her life nor is she forcing herself to be in his life.

I hope the reason why his eyes are like that is that things actually ended between him and Sandy and we just haven't been privy to that information yet. That dead look in his eyes is because he sacrificed his relationship with Lucy for nothing and he completely deserves to be alone.
