this is actually really adorable and not even for shipping reasons. You can see Mike literally think it out right before he does it and its such a simple sweet way to show his affection and thankfulness for Daisy being a true friend all those years to him, like he's suddenly seeing her for the first time in the scope of what that friendship has been and not in a romantic way. Like if anyone deserves a little cheek kiss its definitely Daisy because she never faltered or gave up on him as a person

to be frank I don't think it's /impossible/ that he's giving a friendly thank you kiss, but he's never done that before with anyone else, and it seems kinda... not smart to do that to someone who only just got over their long time crush on you

Even now, with all her growth I feel like Daisy's view of Mike is a bit too simple, rose colored, and idealized. Her 'vision' of Mike's relationship with Lucy we see is just him being so sweet to a mean violent girl who doesn't deserve him, and we know very well it's far more complicated than that. Daisy's still has an impression of the situation that's built of an intial foundation of jealousy and feeling that Mike can do no wrong that's clearly yet to truly crumble. It's very conspicuous that he still never gave her the context for what actually happened when he found out Sandy was cheating.

With that, and with Mike having realized that Sandy's not perfect, I'm kind of worried about this. He may be seeking someone to put on Sandy's old pedestal.
