Same, honestly. Mainly because I wish we had more context. Yes, Sandy was super shitty for ghosting Mike but Mike also pretty much was like "It's okay sweetie! I know you're working!" (Even when Paulo called her up that one time!! "My friend is being dumb, I KNOW you're working hard!"). However, we also don't know what Sandy did!! The way Mike phrased it to Daisy here it sounded like she had found another model their age and were having a whole relationship behind his back but it also could've been her crushing on some older perv she told off who simultaneously she happens to work with.

Not knowing any of the details makes me feel so confused.

Your post reminds me that we actually do not know anything about Francis.. Other than he's a fulltime hair dresser right? There's no way he's a teenager.. So at best he's a young adult.. So you're probably right with the older perv comment.

Exactly! Especially given the time frame of this comic. When I was still in Uni back in '08 internships were typically a thing only 4th or sometimes 3rd year college students did, so he'd be a fashion school Senior student so he'd be around 21. Let's say maybe he's not in a University program and instead he just completed cosmetology classes straight out of high school and he's doing some hands-on training before getting his license. He's still about 20. Or he did other jobs or went to school before this and he's ??? years old. Regardless a 20+-year-old guy should not be romantically interested in a 16/17-year-old girl, I don't care how "Grown up" she seems.

This is essentially the same reassurance Paulo gave Lucy whenever he said that there's no drama or grudges with him and that he accepts [and loves] her as she is.

It's fun to think how Paulo and Daisy are besties and their friendship was essentially formed and maintained in parallel to Mike and Lucy's, where they had much less drama and only ever wanted to impress and encourage one another, with no expectations or pressures of underlying romantic feelings toward each other. They've been observing Mike and Lucy's dynamics the entirety of the story and clearly saw how the two had a codependent friendship that gave them weird expectations of everyone else in their lives. And we've now seen how Paulo and Daisy have set Lucy and Mike straight, respectively.

On the one hand, good on Daisy for showing more security in herself and her feelings, but also like... she doesn't have the full story and might not be so confidently saying Mike is "too nice" when she hears what he did??????

She's not saying he's too nice about anything else he did. This is purely about what he did with Daisy and no one else. So, she has every right to speak on a situation that involves her. Which is all she's speaking on. She said he's too nice, because he's looking at this kiss they've just shared and worrying about if he hurt her specifically. So, she's saying. She's truly okay with it. Her demonstrating that by copying Lucy may have been unnecessary. Yet, Daisy isn't speaking on behalf of Lucy. Because Lucy has nothing to do with the kiss Her and Mike just shared. Yeah, he may have kissed Lucy earlier. But that literally has nothing to do with Daisy and Mike's current situation. So she doesn't need the full story, since Daisy is only speaking about her own. No one else's.

I'm glad Daisy has developed more self-esteem and confidence, but I really wish she'd stop taking potshots at Lucy.

Yeah, Lucy has really only cared for Daisy's well-being whenever they interact and it sucks that Daisy doesn't really reciprocate that and only ever seems to think that Lucy is dramatic and mean for no reason... Only time I can remember her acknowledging Lucy's perspective was in the Halloween chapter but that was only it was so obvious how Mike was being while Lucy had been consistently avoiding him up til then.

Exactly, Lucy may have been a bad friend to Mike in the past at times, but she's done nothing but look out for Daisy and this honestly seems to still stem from Daisy's jealousy that Lucy is more conventionally attractive.

She ends up telling everyone his secret anyway.
